A New Found Favorite

As you know, I'll be graduating from cosmetology soon...thank goodness! I go through phases though where I am just so over it - frustrated with the girls, the school, the curriculum, the fact that I've been there for what seems like an eternity...etc. With waking up every morning dreading the fact that I've got to go back there, Mondays are that much worse. I just hate Mondays. Fridays are by far my favorite day - I love weekends - I love to be able to come home Friday afternoons knowing the weekend is here and Mark and I have an entire 2 1/2 days to fill up with constant time together!! Then Monday comes back around though and that's over and I'm depressed about it!

So, that being said, after the new year, I stumbled across an article in my Real Simple magazine about resolutions and one of the girls decided that she was no longer going to treat her Mondays as a Monday - she was going to embrace every day as if it was a Friday. When I read that, I thought - "Wow....me too! Good idea!" Well, easier said than done!!

I just bought some new cd's though and am a newfound Natalie Grant fan. She has a song on her cd "Awaken" titled, "Another Day". Below is the YouTube clip so you can listen to it if you want and then the lyrics are below too. I just thought that I would post it in case any of you deal with the workday/Monday blues like I do!! This song has really impacted me since I got the cd and really analyzed the words to it. In Philippians it talks about being content in all things....well, I'm trying....even with all those catty 18 year old girls!! :) Here's to a happy Monday tomorrow!!
