Road Trip!!!

We drove all the way to Myrtle Beach and back with our GPS. Well you can program it to either take you shortest distance, fastest route, etc. The difference for us between these two options, however, was 150 miles!! So, it was an obvious choice on the way there. Little did we know, though, that by cutting off 150 miles, it was going to take us up and down and winding through the Appalacian Mountains (which we would end up hitting at dusk...in the mountains!). Long story short, we hadn't hit a McDonald's in about 3 hours so Mark was starving, I was extremely carsick to say the very least and it was about midnight and we were so far into the mountains, we couldn't make our way out to a freeway and we were still about 140 miles from where we had mapped out to camp on the way to Myrtle Beach. We began praying - hard - that God would give us some great place to pull over and sleep though that would be safe and he blessed us abundantly. Again, making this short- we ended up pulling around a corner to find a state park with one camp site left with a park ranger! We pitched our tent, woke up in the morning, looked out the window and in our "backyard" was a church. It was the coolest site and an unforgettable experience.
